Mary Shin is a fiction writer based in the southern US, where she lives with her husband and two demanding cats.

Currently a senior majoring in Creative Writing & English with a Screenwriting concentration, mary explores urban and supernatural fantasy colored by gothic tones. She’s often drawn to small towns with strange histories and enjoys blending ordinary life and the supernatural to examine grief, identity, and the secrets people keep.

Her work includes a feature-length urban fantasy screenplay titled Feeding Grounds, an untitled fantasy graphic novel script, and a YA fantasy screenplay in development for a television pilot called Witch Hill.

In the coming years, she aims to build a genre-spanning portfolio of short stories, novels, and screenplays that bring her signature blend of fantasy and gothic storytelling to both readers and the screen.
